We left the UNregular Radio at 4pm, and the whole crew, including KOP Productions, Mike Cann, the Girls 4 Ganja, and the guys from UNregular Radio headed to Mt. Mary Jane in the heart of Boston. We arrived at exactly 4:20 pm, just in time for the smokey festivities to begin. The lone law enforcement, a mounted park ranger, stood helplessly and watched the cloud of danky stank fill the air.

After we left Mt. Mary Jane, we headed over to UNregular Radio to chill with them for a couple hours on the air. Listen to the show here.

We started our 4/20 celebration at High Noon along the Boston waterfront, where Dan Gervais began his War On Lies Walk. We walked with him to his first scheduled rest stop, on Mt. Mary Jane, in the heart of Boston. While there, we were joined by activists from MassCann, SUNORML, KOP Productions, and kind supporters from much of the Boston area.

No, it’s not an April fools joke.

For those of you who follow us on Facebook or Twitter, you may have heard that Girls 4 Ganja founder, and primary photographer, Scott Gacek encountered some trouble a couple over zealous narcotics officers from the Boston Police Department. Scott an outspoken activist for marijuana law reform in Massachusetts, and serves on the Board of Directors for MassCann, the state chapter of NORML, and was on his way to their monthly meeting.

Everything is all good now, thanks to some kind supporters who came together in just a few short hours to post bail. We don’t want to dwell on the negative, so we thought we’d celebrate all the work Scott has done, bringing voices (and some pretty faces) together to strengthen the marijuana reform movement in Massachusetts and beyond.

Katie is smokin some Strawberry Cough that she brought along to the shoot. Lucky us, she brought enough to share! Katie is rockin the “Danker Nuggets” hat by Grassroots California, which will soon be available in the Girls 4 Ganja Schwag Shop!

On Thursday, March 25, 2010, MassCann threw a special 4:20 pm fundraiser, with guest of honor Rick Cusick, Associate Publisher of High Times magazine. At an undisclosed location in Downtown Boston, blunts were passed as joints were rolled and bowls were packed. Cookies, brownies, and cupcakes were among the edibles. A table full of pizza awaited our munchies.

As the smoke cleared, it became evident that this was no ordinary 4:20 gathering. Former MassCann president, and current NORML board member Dr. Keith Saunders played host. DJ Slim chatted while Mike Cann and KOP did their video thing. And of course, Rick Cusick entertained everyone with stories from his many, many years at High Times, and brought along an extra special treat: The first ever edition of High Times, issue #1, circa 1974.

Of course, if Girls 4 Ganja are anywhere, we’re gonna be taking pictures. For those of you who couldn’t be there, here are some HIGHlights. Check out kopproductions.com and mikecann.net for video, too!

The Girls 4 Ganja will be joining the King of Pot (www.kopproductions.com), DJ Slim, Mike Cann, and many other kind supporters later today for a MassCann/NORML fundraiser with guest of honor Rick Cusick from High Times. Because our party will start a little early with some civil disobedience on Mt. Mary Jane with KOP, we thought it would be fitting to continue the 4/20 Countdown with these photos we shot last fall, with the King of Pot himself. Look for all the smokin pics from the party tomorrow right here, but for now enjoy these photos of Miss Micaela, Jacquie, Cassandra, Ally and Caroline.

With 32 days left until 4/20, the weather is getting noticibly warmer. These are the newest Girls 4 Ganja photos, shot yesterday with our smokin homegirl Julia. Because it’s Fryday, we thought we’d treat you to a full set of these pics. The 4/20 Countdown resumes tomorrow, with some never before seen photos of some of our newest Girls 4 Ganja.
