We weren’t planning on a photo shoot, but as it turned out, 3 true Girls 4 Ganja, representing the three major countries of North America, met near Boston for some international blunts and bong hits. Cassandra (Mexico), Miss Micaela (USA), and Amber (Canada) show how the marijuana culture unites people peacefully, and new friends are made.

GSU will be offering 20% off all glass all day on 4/20, and they have a great selection. Many of the pieces that have been featured in Girls 4 Ganja shoots have been provided by Green Side Up. We started our 4/20 Countdown 35 Days ago, counting down the 42 Days till 4/20, with a select few photos from our visit to a massive grow house somewhere in Massachusetts. At the time, we had been asked by the growers to limit the photos we posted, as to not expose the sheer size of their operation. Since that post was made, the grow house has been relocated, and we can now share the full series, as we have no idea where they’ve moved to.

With just one week left till 4/20, the timing couldn’t be more perfect. So here it is: Corey and Miss Micaela, smoking blunts of Blueberry and East Coast Sour Diesel, in a little place we like to refer to as “Heaven.”

With only 8 days left till 4/20, here are the last of the photos from our shoot with the King of Pot, of KOP Productions. KOP will be joining G4G at Extravaganja next week in Amherst, MA.

What are you doing next Saturday? If you’re anywhere near Amherst, MA, you should check out Extravaganja. It’s worth the drive from Boston, Albany, Providence, or just about anywhere under 4 hours 20 minutes. Hosted by the UMass Amherst Cannabis Reform Coalition, it is one of the few pot festivals in the U.S. where the local police department actually cooperates. Yes, that’s right — you can smoke all you want without fear of police intervention. Unless you’re openly dealing pot or drinking a beer, you won’t be hassled.

The Girls 4 Ganja will be there in force. We’ll have a table set up with tee shirts from our Schwag Shop and some Boston Chronics hats from Grassroots California. We’ll be there with our friends from Green Side Up Gallery and the King of Pot himself, from KOP Productions. Girls 4 Ganja founder/photographer Scott Gacek will be shooting some Girls 4 Ganja sets throughout the day, and the Girls 4 Ganja will be performing in a fashion show on stage (in between the kick ass bands, dance teams, comedians and speakers). And of course, we’ll be partaking in the sweetest smoke sessions on the Amherst Common.

Extravaganja is always a great time, with something for everyone, and is a great way to kick start your 4/20 celebrations a little early. You may meet some new friends, buy some new glass (and a G4G tee shirt too), and enjoy the danky stank as you walk through the green on a beautiful day.

Extravaganja is held on the Amherst Common, Saturday April 17, 2010, from HIGH NOON till 7:00 pm.
