Statement Regarding COED Magazine
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On April 19, 2010, COED Magazine published an article titled “420 Girls Gone Wild for Weed“, which featured several images that were removed from Girls4Ganja.com without our consent.
Girls 4 Ganja does not condone the objectified portrayal of women in COED Magazine. Our slogan has always been Real Girls, Real Ganja, and that means portraying a wide spectrum of differently beautiful women while respecting them as the smart, brave, passionate individuals behind the legalization movement. We strongly object to the place of women in the movement being eye candy for male smokers, which is what this site appears to perpetuate. (Although we do appreciate those male smokers who find us beautiful and enjoy our website.)
These images were used without our permission, and we have retained legal counsel to pursue appropriate action.

MassCann’s May Daze
This Saturday, May 1, those of you in Massachusetts have a chance to be active, and be rewarded. MassCann (the state NORML chapter) has several events planned to help bring change to marijuana laws in Massachusetts. It looks like a beautiful spring day in Boston, a perfect day to meet some kind people, have some fun, and make a difference.
Start your day collecting signatures at various locations around Boston and Massachusetts. For just a couple hours work in the morning or early afternoon, you can help gather signatures to place marijuana reform public policy questions (PPQ’s) on ballotts in targeted districts around the state. Why are these questions important? These questions, while non-binding, are used to help show the lawmakers representing these districts the overwhelming support their constituents have in favor of marijuana law reform. Remember Rep. Sanchez, who essentially killed H. 2160, a bill that would have allowed a Rhode Island-style medical marijuana program in Massachusetts? His district is just one of many where MassCann hopes to change the minds of politicians, and challenge them to endorse marijuana law reform in the state. If you’re wondering where you can help, check out the list here, and for more information visit MassCann.org.
At 4:00, join MassCann, SUNORML, and other reform groups, including the Girls 4 Ganja, as we participate in Boston’s edition of the Global Marijuana March. Meet up at 4:00 in front of the JFK Federal Building, on Congress Street near Government Center. At 4, everyone will stroll down to Faneuil Hall, to be at the Samuel Adams statue at 4:20, and shortly there after to the Boston Common.
That evening, MassCann is hosting a special fundraiser event at an undisclosed location downtown Boston. The $20 admission can be reduced by $5 for anyone who participates in signature gathering or in the Global Marijuana March, or $10 for anyone who participates in both. We’ve attended these exclusive events in the past, it’s always a good time. Check out the Facebook event to RSVP, or email MassCann Events for more information.
BOSTON 4/20/2010 PART 3 :: 4:20 pm, Mt. Mary Jane
We left the UNregular Radio at 4pm, and the whole crew, including KOP Productions, Mike Cann, the Girls 4 Ganja, and the guys from UNregular Radio headed to Mt. Mary Jane in the heart of Boston. We arrived at exactly 4:20 pm, just in time for the smokey festivities to begin. The lone law enforcement, a mounted park ranger, stood helplessly and watched the cloud of danky stank fill the air.
Boston 4/20/2010 Part 2 :: UNregular Radio
After we left Mt. Mary Jane, we headed over to UNregular Radio to chill with them for a couple hours on the air. Listen to the show here.
